Photodiodes

Photodiode arrays are used in rotary and linear encoders, optical barriers, presence sensors and optical and X-ray sorting machines. The photodiode arrays are available in SMD plastic or ceramic, Metal TO and Chip-on-Board (COB) packages. The standard OID7 photodiode component is 100 % compatible with OPR2100.

Special Detectors

We can realise special and customised components based on specific customer requirements. Encoder components without encapsulating resin provide superior robustness and are thus able to withstand thermal shocks..

Phototransistors

Phototransistors are semiconductor devices that amplify the current generated by the photovoltaic effect using junctions; these optical components offer similar performance to the photodiode but are much more sensitive to light. Specifically, a phototransistor is a semiconductor device that can detect light levels and alter the current flow between the emitter and collector according to the amount of light received.

Components for Optical Fibre

Our components for optical fibre are photoASIC-based transmitters and LED receivers with integrated electronics; developed for industrial communications with high-resolution CMOS technology with a max baud rate of 20 Mbps, they are also suitable for the SERCOS II standard. Our fibre optic receivers are 100% compatible with the HFD7000.

Reflective Sensors

Reflective optical sensors are used in a wide range of applications requiring reflective sensors that do not only detect the presence of an object but also its relative proximity.

LED

We supply standard infra-red LEDs (near-infrared 870-880nm) to match our high-quality, high-intensity photodiodes and phototransistors with parallel light beams and divergence of 5° for the encoder industry.

Custom LEDs

We develop customised LED array solutions with different wavelengths on SMD and TO packages. High quality and reliability are guaranteed by rigorously monitored assembly and inspection processes.
