The industrial division is the first of the Group to have been set up and currently constitutes its core business. It designs and manufactures two main product ranges: components and sensors for industrial automation.

The mobility division specialises in manufacturing innovative, patented cylinder sensors that are immune to electromagnetic fields, integrated and tamper-proof, resistant to external influences and, above all, suitable for all types of cylinders.

For ten years now, Optoi has been pursuing a path of technological innovation to become a reference point for the production of optoelectronic components in the European aerospace context; our collaborations with the leading space agencies are numerous.

Optoi biomedical division designs optical devices for diagnostic and therapeutic applications by combining electronics, material science, information technology, and nanotechnology. These groundbreaking elements also enable biomedicine to face new challenges.

For more than ten years, Optoi has applied its skill and experience in the field of sensors for environmental quality monitoring and the so-called green technologies for indoor and outdoor environments.

Recently the European Commission has approved under EU State aid rules, an Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) to support research, innovation and the first industrial deployment of microelectronics and communication technologies across the value chain. The project, called “IPCEI ME/CT”, was jointly prepared and notified by fourteen Member States: Austria, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Spain. The Member States will provide up to €8.1 billion in public funding, which is expected to unlock additional €13.7 billion in private investments. As part of this IPCEI, 56 Direct Partners and 30 Associated Partners, including small and medium-sized enterprises (‘SMEs') and start-ups, will undertake 68 projects. Among them we are pleased to announce the presence of OPTOI, which has been selected among the very few Italian entities as an associate partner. The Commission's approval of this IPCEI is part of the wider Commission efforts to ensure a greener, digital, more secure, resilient, and sovereign European economy, as the OPTOI Group we are ready to play our part in achieving these goals that will lead to important positive spillovers throughout Europe.Info - https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_23_3087

From June 5 to 8, we are at the BIO 2023 international conference in Boston with our Biomedical Business Manager Cristina Ress. "Stand up for innovation. Stand up for truth. And stand up for science. It’s time to inspire, honor, and recognize the true value of the breakthrough work biotech performs for society. Today. And every day. Well into the future."To schedule a one-on-one meeting you can access the following link - Request Meeting

We are pleased to inform you that the workshop "Non-coding RNAs as emerging biomarkers for human diseases: new insights and analytical strategie" organized by Prof. Michela Denti (UniTrento CIBIO) by colleague Simone Detassis (OPTOI), Biomedical Division Manager , Cristina Ress (OPTOI) and Salvatore Pernagallo (DESTINA Genomics Ltd.) will be held on July 3."The plethora of RNA species in the living world demonstrates that between DNA and proteins the regulation of life has almost unlimited potential. In this workshop, we will try to shed light on recent advances in non-coding RNAs used as biomarkers for human diseases and the difficulty of translating them into the clinic."The registration deadline for the short talk or poster session is June 4.The registration deadline for participation is June 16.For info and registration: https://webapps.unitn.it/form/it/Web/Application/convegni/noncodingrnasHere is the link to the program: https://webmagazine.unitn.it/en/evento/cibio/116703/non-coding-rnas-as-emerging-biomarkers-for-human-diseases
