Optoi is ready to take up "CHIPS ACT" challenge

From February 2022, OPTOI is one of the few italian companies already selected to partecipate in the EC strategic «CHIPS ACT» the new plan presented by the European Commission aims to strengthen autonomy and more than double the production share of semiconductors within seven years, bringing the European share from 9% to 20% by 2030.

Alfredo Maglione elected President of the Committee of the Informatics and Digital Technologies Section of Confindustria Trento

The Assembly of the brand new IT and digital technologies section of Confindustria Trento yesterday elected the members of the Section Committee, as well as its President. For the latter position, the CEO of the Optoi Group, Alfredo Maglione, former President of the Innovative and Technological Services Section of Confindustria Trento was chosen; he will be joined by Pompeo Viganò as vice president.«I am honored by this election and above all by the trust of my colleagues and entrepreneur colleagues, who every day make Trentino a more innovative, dynamic and technologically competitive territory - is the comment of the president of the Optoi Group -. OPTOI has been selected for the IPCEI ME/CT project.

Recently the European Commission has approved under EU State aid rules, an Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) to support research, innovation and the first industrial deployment of microelectronics and communication technologies across the value chain. The project, called “IPCEI ME/CT”, was jointly prepared and notified by fourteen Member States: Austria, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Spain. The Member States will provide up to €8.1 billion in public funding, which is expected to unlock additional €13.7 billion in private investments. As part of this IPCEI, 56 Direct Partners and 30 Associated Partners, including small and medium-sized enterprises (‘SMEs') and start-ups, will undertake 68 projects. Among them we are pleased to announce the presence of OPTOI, which has been selected among the very few Italian entities as an associate partner.
