Optoi's R&D activity on concentrator photovoltaics is progressively growing. The goal of the project is to develop photovoltaic modules based on innovative concentrator methods, using small microcells made of silicon.

An agreement for the development of these modules has been recently reached with Edison Power.

Optoi's certificate for the management system as per EN ISO 9001:2000 has been successfully renewed for the next 3 years. The standard applies specifically to the development and production of microelectronic sensors, microsystems and electronic systems, as reported in [here].

Optoi attended Micromachined Summit 2007, the international event on micromachined systems and convergence of nano, micro and bio technologies. This year the event was held in Venice from 25th to 28th April, and Optoi supported it with a sponsorship.

Optoi has been present at Microelettronica 2007, exhibiting its products and taking part in a seminar. The trade fair has been held in Vicenza, from March 15th to 17th inclusive. Optoi has recently exhibited its innovative products at Electronica 2006 in Munich and at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2006 in Nürberg.

At the end of a promising development process, Optoi also produced a demo of a CMOS PSD (Position Sensitive Device), able to detect the position of a light spot at high frame rate. Optoi achieved another dealership agreement with Mr Vincent H. Honings, director of the Dutch company CenS microElectronics.

Optoi has another notch in its belt. Here we are with the third agreement signed in the last two months with the German distributor Simos.

Optoi scored another goal in distribution. Recently, we signed a dealership agreement with Aris Ian Bulavs, director of sales & marketing of the English LasIRvis company.

It's hard to believe it's been ten years, but it has: ten years ago, on 1st April 1995, Optoi was founded.

It started out with just a couple of people, but it has grown up to what it is today: +30% of turnover per year since 2000, 14 people currently employed, a new building of 1.000m², standard products, many new ideas to develop, and a lot of enthusiasm to see what future deserves us.

As it has happened for 6 years, Optoi will not miss the appointment of May with two renowned exhibitions.

For the past four months, we at Optoi have been working to improve our production quality, and in the end our effort was awarded after two-day assesment carried out by one of the members of TÜV Cert.

Optoi is ending the building up of the new company plant fully dedicated to the development and production of microelectronic sensors and innovative microsystems. We planned the new site will be ready by the end of the year.
