Born few years ago, as one-working-man company, Optoi has now a staff made by 20 people. Optoi has in-house the capability to do administration, R&D, design, production, testing and marketing of microelectronic devices. Several technical-commercial agents are working for Optoi all over Italy and, growing year by year, also in Europe. Since 2002, several new contacts and customers have come from Asia and America.

Staff, turnover, and profits have increasingly grown since the year 2000

The first Optoi headquarter was in Terlago, close to Trento (Italy), with the main production area based on the silicon sensors packaging line and some other areas concerning testing, R&D and administration. Thanks to the constant increase of activity and production, fully automatic packaging machines were acquired and installed during 2002. An industrial land was then acquired and, during 2005, Optoi build up a new plant (initially 1000 sqm) mainly dedicated to the production of sensors, microsystems, and to the assembly of microdevices, using a fully automatic microelectronic packaging line.

The increasing trend of the staff, turnover and profits was confirmed last year, with a growth rate of 20% from 2004 to 2005.
