Optoelettronica Italia S.r.l., known as Optoi,
is a private company involved in microelectronic packaging, silicon
sensors, and microsystems production. Optoi front-end production is
in collaboration with the Microelectronic Research Institute
ITC-irst,
located in Trento in the North-East of Italy. |

Institute
During the very first few years of its activity, from 1995
to 1999, Optoi realized some small series
of custom sensors which were developed following the
specifications requested by
some Italian industries. In year 2000, the real industrial
production started, together with the international marketing
based on the new brand "Optoi Microelectronics".
Before then, Optoi was known only in the Italian market, but
since 2000 the company turned its attention also to Europe,
Asia, and America, offering a microelectronic product line
based on many silicon sensors and microsystems.
